Review
Peanut butter base: A rich, creamy, sweet peanut butter base with the aroma of a candy bar. Not the strongest peanut butter flavor. The taste is sweet on the front with a peanut butter finish. The pint’s back blurb says that honey is the secret ingredient in this base—and perhaps that sweetness helps moderate the peanut flavor.
Pretzel: Pretzel pieces everywhere, in every spoonful, some half an inch long. The milk chocolate coating on the pretzels will melt in your mouth. Larger pretzels were still crispy inside, but a few smaller, broken pieces were a bit soggy—adding some variety of texture. It’s a great contrast in this pint: the salty pretzels against all the sweets—peanut butter, caramel, chocolate.
Caramel: The caramel swirl is obvious from the moment you open the pint—as you can see from the picture. It’s the rich, thick caramel you might find in a High Five bar. There’s only a modest amount of it throughout the pint, but it’s potent enough, and there are so many other mix-ins, that I don’t think I would want more caramel. The caramel really kicks the sweetness of this pint up a notch, and while I could imagine some might find it lends too much sweetness, for me it was the perfect amount of caramel.
Chocolate: Moderately sized chocolate chunks. A darker chocolate, adding some texture and crunch. The pint has more pretzels than chocolate chunks, but the distribution worked for me. It was the right balance of these mix-ins against each other because any more chocolate might tend to overwhelm the other flavors.
Overall: It’s a decadent combination of salty and sweet that rockets over the top with its generous mix-ins. Jeni’s promised us a High Five candy bar in a pint—and delivered. Highly recommended. Visit Whole Foods to grab a pint before it disappears.

Front Blurb
Peanut butter, caramel, chocolate, and pretzels in perfect harmony.
Back Blurb
An ode to my all-time favorite candy bar. Four ingredients to rule them all: Peanut butter, caramel, chocolate, pretzels. Plus one not-so-secret ingredient — honey — which gives our peanut butter ice cream a dreamy, nougat-y texture and flavor. This jazzy ensemble of sweet, salty, and gooey had us dancing in our test kitchen! It’s so good, in fact, that when Whole Foods asked us to make a flavor just for them, I knew it had to be this one. Make some room before digging in.
