Ice Cream Review – Van Leeuwen Key Lime Pie (8/10)
The lime flavor popped. And the plentiful, flavorful graham cracker chunks were a lot of fun.
Ice Cream Review – Van Leeuwen Chocolate Covered Strawberry (7/10)
The chocolate base isn’t bad. But failing to include chocolate chunks in this pint borders on criminal negligence.
Ice Cream Review – Van Leeuwen Honey Graham Cracker (7/10)
Fairly bland. Could use something additional to punch it up. Maybe a thicker honey swirl that would survive Walmart’s rough treatment, resist dissolving into the base.
Ice Cream Review – Van Leeuwen Blood Orange Chocolate Chip (7.5/10)
Van Leeuwen’s Blood Orange Chocolate Chip is a pleasant flavor for a warm day. The base is nice and creamy.
Ice Cream Review – Van Leeuwen Red Velvet (7/10)
For some people, red velvet cake is nearly a holy sacrament. But not for me. To me, it’s just a mild cocoa-flavored cake with red dye and cream cheese frosting.
Ice Cream Review – Van Leeuwen Strawberry Shortcake (7.5/10)
The total effect of this pint is blander than I hoped. The shortcake chunks are fine, and their amount is sufficient.
Ice Cream Review: Van Leeuwen Macaroni & Cheese (6/10)
Van Leeuwen’s Kraft Macaroni & Cheese ice cream is an inoffensive novelty pint that I would never seek out again. In that sense, it’s not really a success.
Ice Cream Review: Van Leeuwen Hot Honey (8/10)
Van Leeuwen’s Hot Honey is a pleasant surprise. The vanilla base tastes sweet at first, then hot from the globs of melted hot honeycomb candy bits.
