Ice Cream Review: Talenti Caramel Pretzel Blondie (7.5/10)
Talenti’s Caramel Pretzel Blondie has much to recommend it. The pint description reads: “Pairing of sea salt caramel gelato made with dulce de leche and salted pretzel gelato with blondie pieces”
Ice Cream Review: Haagen-Dazs Black & White Cookie (7/10)
Haagen-Dazs’s Black and White Cookie is a missed opportunity. I think this flavor could be a big success if executed well.
Ice Cream Review: Van Leeuwen Grey Poupon with salted Pretzels (5/10)
Van Leeuwen’s Grey Poupon with Salted Pretzels is a nope for me. I really enjoyed VL’s Hot Honey. The sweet cream ice cream and salty pretzels are fine combo, even though the pretzel bits in this pint are too soft, not crunchy enough to really be enjoyable.
Ice Cream Review: Van Leeuwen Expresso Fior Di Latte Chip (7.5/10)
Van Leeuwen’s Fior di Latte Chip is an enjoyable oddball pint. It has a swirl of espresso and sweet cream ice creams.
Ice Cream Review: Graeter’s S’mores (8/10)
Graeter’s S’mores is the best s’mores pint I’ve tried, largely because of its bold, flawless graham-flavored base. From the first taste, I was nodding “Yes, that’s right! That’s what a s’mores ice cream base is supposed to taste like.”
Ice Cream Review: Graeter’s Caramel Macchiato (7/10)
Graeter’s Caramel Macchiato is a creative flavor from a brand that mostly does classic, old school flavors. I was frankly surprised to find this flavor on their website.
Ice Cream Review: Van Leeuwen Summer Peach Crisp (5/10)
Van Leeuwen’s Summer Peach Crisp is one of the worst pints I’ve tried from this brand’s otherwise enjoyable Walmart line, probably due to manufacturing defects.
Ice Cream Review: Van Leeuwen Campfire S’mores (8/10)
Van Leeuwen Campfire S’mores is a pretty darn good s’more flavor with a few unusual mix-ins. The base is supposed to be toasted marshmallow.
